When we Meet
Sundays
Sunday is an important day for us as it means we can meet and make space for
God together… Lives are busy, and we need time out!
“We’d love to see you…!”

On Sundays we meet at 9.30am and 11.00am and again at 6.00pm,
services are about an hour
and quite informal. Deliberately, there's a difference in style between the
morning services and the evening, and there is only something specifically for the children during our
first morning service. During school holidays we generally revert to a
single morning service starting at 11.00am, be sure to check service times
by
clicking here. Refreshments after the first
morning service and also after the evening service are a good opportunity to chat and
get to know one another. And if you’ve something to celebrate you might even
get a chocolate…!
In the mornings our worship has a more contemporary feel about it, with a
music group, a Junior Church for the children and a crèche for tiny ones,
currently about 100-120 attend. We
aim for there to be something for the whole family and, occasionally, we all
stay together for what we call an 'all-age service', which is simply that -
a service for all ages! These have been quite popular recently. Lots of
action from start to finish!

In the evening, the services are more traditional, with more hymns generally
being sung. Even though there are no groups for children, families are, of
course, welcome to join us in the evenings. Currently we have around 30-40
attending the evening service.
Bible teaching is important in all of our services. We want to know what God
is saying to us and to learn 'how' we might better apply His truth to our
lives. This is far more important to us than focusing on using any one
translation of the Bible. Rather, our prayer is simply that people would be
asking, "What is God saying to me through His Word?" Small
discussion-style groups (that we call ‘LIFE Groups’) also meet during the week.
Communion is held at various times, and can also be taken to those who are unable
to attend Church through ill health. Currently we have communion altogether twice
a month, the second Sunday evening, and the forth Sunday morning, but we also
encourage people to share the Lord’s Supper in their ‘LIFE Groups’. We want to
provide as many different opportunities as possible for people to access communion,
when we remember the Lord Jesus dying for us. We invite all those who know Jesus as
their Lord to share in this meal. If you want to know more about what ‘Communion’
is about, why not ask
for the tape, as we looked at this recently…
We meet to encourage one another, to build friendships, to learn and laugh
together, and all of this can be in worship to God. At it's heart we believe
Christianity is all about relationships, both with God and with others…
