LOVE CAME DOWN
On November 16th, 30 women gathered together to celebrate ‘Love came down’, the Girls 0-100 Christmas celebration. The evening was filled with much hilarity as spontaneous singing broke out at times, one person was inspired to write poetry and prizes galore were given out. The evening consisted of games such as ‘Beetle’, ‘Name that Tune’ and the ‘Memory Tray Game’ and a quiz on the theme of ‘Love’.

Roger hosted the evening and he bought his usual sense of humour to the proceedings. Roger also shared a short talk on the theme of Christmas, challenging us to look towards Jesus regardless of how we celebrate Christmas.

The décor took the form of a polar scene and polar bears and penguins took a starring role in the evening! The non-alcoholic punch was a real treat and the mince pies which were served went down very well. The whole evening finished with carol singing and the handing out of Christmas cards.

On top of all the fun and laughter, there was a sense of God’s presence being with us and those involved in the organisation went away feeling blessed, knowing that God had been at work in people’s lives.

We would like to thank everyone who helped in way – whether supplying Christmas trees, baking mince pies, cutting out hearts, stars and beetles, setting up, serving coffee, washing up, taking photos and all the other jobs which made the evening such a success.
