July 2011 Update

Campers
Senior Camp – 15 – 17’s

July 25th ~ July 30th Bookings 70

Intermediate Camp – 12 – 14’s

August 1st ~ 6th Bookings 57

Junior Camp – 10 – 12’s

August 8th ~ 13th Bookings 67

We are encouraged by the total of 194 campers booked in, it is still much lower than last year (221) We do need about another 20 Campers to make the Camps financially viable. We appreciate that the current economic situation is affecting numbers. Senior and Junior Camps are now bigger than they were last year but the Inters camp is much smaller and especially on the boys side. We would be delighted to hear from any 12-14’s who want to book last minute
There is still room in each of the three weeks for both boys and girls. We hope that the numbers will continue to grow during July.

IF YOU KNOW ANYBODY WHO COULD FILL THESE PLACES, PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Please pray for all the young people who will be coming to Camp in 2011 and pray that numbers will increase so that we shall have full camps again this year.

Helpers

For CAMP 2011 We have 16 vacancies which we must fill. We still need:-

SENIOR CAMP - July 25th – July 30th
We need: - 3 Girl Tent Leaders
4 Boy Tent Leaders
INTERMEDIATE CAMP- August 1st –6th
We need: - 6 Girl Tent Leaders
2 Cooks
JUNIOR CAMP - August 8th –13th
We need: - 1 Boy Tent Leader

Please pray that during the next three weeks we will see these places filled so we can commence Camp with all the help we need.

Publicity

New coloured booking forms for Campers have been produced this year; quantities are available from the Camp Office. We also have a Promo DVD for Camp 2011. Copies have been sent to over 40 Churches, and further copies are available to anyone who can use them. We are doing are utmost to have effective publicity for Camp 2011.

Planning

Pray for the Leadership Teams in all their final planning.

Other Prayer Points

All the Administration which is taking place, including work on Camp Policies, CRB checks, and recruitment & mail-outs to all Helpers
Ian Carr and Stephen Gillham as they prepare the Quiet Time Notes and the Talks for each week. Prayer for much Spiritual Blessing this year
For Erection of Camp Friday and Saturday July 22nd and 23rd, and that there will be sufficient help to ensure that this work goes really well.
For the safety and health of all the Camper s and helpers during the camp weeks
For the weather over the three and half weeks we are at Carey Camp.
For God’s Blessing on all who will be at Camp this year, and for His overruling in every situation.
