August 2008 Update

Campers

Senior Camp – 15 – 17’s

We are encouraged by the total of 281 campers booked in.

SENIOR CAMP
went extremely well. We were blessed with much better weather than we have usually had for Senior Camp and only one minor change had to be made to the programme.

The 67 campers did extremely well and their behaviour was excellent. We sensed the presence and help of the Lord particularly in the spiritual sessions and know that many were spoken to and encouraged by Senior Camp.

INTERMEDIATE CAMP
is going very well. We have 102 campers and we just began the camp with one leader short.

The weather has been quite mixed but it hasn’t interfered with our programme and everything is running very smoothly. Everyone has worked extremely hard and we sense the Lord speaking in Morning Prayers and the Evening Rendezvous. We value prayer for the final day or so of Intermediate Camp.

JUNIOR CAMP
We will probably have the largest Camp we have ever had. We anticipate 112 Junior Campers and we have unfortunately had to turn away a large number of young people who would have come to camp if we had the space. We are still one boy tent leader short and this is a matter of concern and prayer for us.

Please pray for the Leadership Team and for all those helping and all the campers. Pray that we might have good weather and safety during the Camp and God will speak to all who are there.

DISMANTLING
We anticipate starting the dismantling of Camp around 3.00 p.m. on Saturday August 16th and any help on Saturday or Sunday would be very much appreciated as we try and pack up Camp.

OPEN NIGHTS
Saturdays August, 9th and 16th at 6.30 p.m. will be the Grande Finales and we are making these Open Nights and give an invitation to any who would like to join us at Camp. Please feel free to join us for the final event of each
