March 2010 Update

Campers

Senior Camp – 15 – 17’s
July 26th – July 31st Bookings 39

Intermediate Camp – 12 – 14’s
August 2nd - 7th Bookings 50

Junior Camp – 10 – 12’s
August 9th –14th Bookings 29

We are encouraged by the total of 118 campers booked in so far but we are quite a bit down on previous years so we would encourage Churches and individuals to do their best to encourage any who they feel might benefit from coming to Camp to try and get them to book in as soon as possible. There is plenty of room in each of the three weeks for both boys and girls and we anticipate that the numbers will continue to grow during March.

Please pray for all the young people who will be coming to Camp in 2010 both those who have been before and those who haven’t.

Helpers
The helpers are slowly coming in but we have a long way to go before we have full teams for each week. All the Leadership Teams are in place for each week. At least 50 people have booked in to help us but to complete the teams for all three weeks and the weekends we shall need around 150 people, so we are anxious to increase our team numbers as soon as possible.

Please pray that during the next month we will see many more booking in to help us with cooks, background, general helpers and tent leaders.

We are encouraging all those who are planning to help us to be in touch as soon as possible. This not only helps with the planning of Camp but it also helps us with the CRB Disclosures. The system will change on March 31st and it is going to be a lot easier for us if we can get more people going through the system before March 31st.

Planning
Pray for the Leadership Teams who are planning each of the three weeks, and especially as they all take on extra responsibilities to relieve Stephen and Jean from some of their duties. Programmes are being finalised and much thought is going into all the activities. All the Leadership Teams have meetings planned in the next couple of months.

• Other Prayer Points
  All the administration which is taking place so that all our Camp policies are in place by the summer. Also ensuring that all helpers have current CRB checks. Please pray for Grace Goulding and Lynne Clarke who do most of the Administration

• Plans for the Spiritual side of Camp and those who are responsible for all the preparations

• For the CCD Executive who will meet in March.
