Membership - Supporting

Supporting is something we encourage as it is something we all need.

There’s a lot of truth in the song from a number of years ago, reminding us that “we all need somebody to lean on…”

As the Church grows it is impossible for any one person to look out for everybody, but God didn’t design the Church to be like that anyway. We’re encouraged to carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6: 2). As such we would encourage Church Members to look out for those they notice haven’t been around a while, or who are not looking too well, and then to make contact. A card or a phone call goes a long way.

We also recognise that the Church Leaders need to be supported. Leadership is not easy. There are always decisions to make, and many of these are far from straight forward. Church Members are encouraged to support and pray for their Leaders… The Elders are seen as the Leaders of the Church but, as part of our wider Leadership Team, we also have a number of Deacons, who have an equally vital role to play.
