Membership - Praying

Praying is one of the foundation stones of any Church. It is a statement of our total reliance on God. Just look how often we try to do things in our own strength…!

Someone has said that you can tell the health of a Church by how many are at the Prayer Meeting. That’s a challenge in itself, but there is more to prayer… Prayer is:-

• communication that comes through relationship with God

• involving God in our lives

• a powerful weapon for Christians (Eph 6)

• the antidote to worry (Phil 4: 6)

We should aim to pray expectantly, specifically, unselfishly, perseveringly, evangelistically, and… whenever we can. Prayer is our meeting place with God.

We encourage prayer in our ‘LIFE Groups’ each week, and also hold a monthly prayer meeting on the first Saturday morning in the month at 9.30am. Please join us!
