You are here:

Thank you for checking out our site, we hope that this will give you a clearer insight into what it means to be a part of the Church here, and whoever you are we can assure you that you'd get a very warm welcome...

Wondering what life is about...? Come along on a Sunday morning to see whether the God who made you can offer any answers. We meet at both 9.30am and again at 11.00am, after coffee. Got questions about what it means to be a Christian...? We have a page set up to explain this to you.

Want to know what sort of Church we are...? Read about what goes on, listen to one of the messages, or simply phone up and ask! >>more

Want to make friends...? We have several small groups, called 'LIFE Groups', that meet during the week.

Need something for children...? We have a number of age related groups that meet on Sundays, then the teenagers have additional times when they get together.

Our theme for the year is
"Love God : Love one other". Not rocket science, in fact these statements were seen by Jesus as being issues that mattered most, and if we're honest we know our world would be a much better place if we put his words into practise!

The reality is that we fall short, so if you're looking for the perfect Church... we are not it. If however, you're looking for a group of people who know they're on a journey, often make mistakes, but are doing their uppermost to get it right and are wanting to make a positive difference to those around us, then maybe you should consider finding our more about us!

We'd love to see you.

Hence our strapline, that sums up what we’re all about, wanting to be people who are;

Celebrating and sharing the love of God

Cups from AREC depicting our strapline, "Celebrating and sharing the Love of God"

“Wanna know about what matters to us...?”

We seek to express this through five areas, like the five points of a star if you like, and try to hold these in balance.

1. Worship >>more
2. Belong >>more
3. Serve >>more
4. Grow >>more
5. Share >>more

These five features were key to both the health and growth of the very first Church nearly 2,000 years ago. It was a natural result of what God was doing among them, and this is the kind of Church we want to be and to become.

God still changes lives today. Come along at either 9.30am or 11.00am on a Sunday morning and you'll find out more of what it's all about!

Or, why not ask for a free copy of our bi-monthly magazine ‘Honeycomb’…?

If you have a load of other questions about the Christian faith, why not check out www.rejesus.co.uk or www.nowbelieve.com

Dorchester Carnival

2008

 SATURDAY 21st JUNE 2008
 6:00pm

The theme this year is “IT’S A MUSICAL WORLD“ If you are a regular supporter you will know what an excellent event last year was with the best entry there has been for many years with over 50 entries in the procession. So we hope with the theme we have this year a similar number will take part.

The Carnival provides a wonderful opportunity for groups and organisations to share and publicise the work that they do. Over the last 12 years the carnival has raised over £60,000.

Did you know that Dorchester Community Church has an entry again this year? Please come along and support us on Saturday 21st June. Our entry number this year is C14, so give us a big wave when you see us go by! Remember our last entry in the Carnival? Please click here to see some of the photos.

The procession this year starts at 6.00pm at Fairfield (Dorchester Market Place)... See you there!!
